ann wilkinson:

This body of work seeks to investigate the way in which diffuse light in an empty room creates mood.

The doors and windows have no latches or locks. The windows are forever closed. The world outside can be seen but not reached. The doors are partly open but the absence of handles suggests that once shut they may not open again.

The opening and closing of doors, the moving from one room to another can be seen as a metaphor for the way in which we make decisions in life: change that may be voluntary or involuntary depending on who is opening or closing the door.
